The pandemic is really awful... Sad . Hope everyone is safe and well.

Here is one of the articles online with details:
Marvel’s Shang-Chi Movie Delayed Three Months To September
Marvel has pushed back Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings amidst a slew of several other delays at Disney, including Black Widow.
By Graeme Guttmann Published 2 days ago
https://screenrant.com/shang-chi-movie-marvel-delayed-release-update-september/

Marvel pushed back Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings to a September release date. Set to star Simu Liu, Shang-Chi will be the first MCU entry with an Asian protagonist, and fans have eagerly been awaiting its debut. Alongside Liu, Awkwafina (The Farewell), Tony Leung (Happy Together), and Michelle Yeoh (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) are all set to star. Marvel also brought in a predominantly Asian behind-the-scenes crew that will help to tell the origin story of Marvel's Master of Kung Fu.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings was first announced at 2019's San Diego Comic-Con when Kevin Feige began laying out what the MCU's Phase 4 would look like. The film was initially set for a February 12, 2021 release date, the first day of the Chinese New Year. Shang-Chi was subsequently pushed back to May 7 before Black Widow took that spot, landing on the July 9 release date that many thought would finally come to pass. Now, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has been delayed for the third time.

Shang-Chi will debut in theaters on September 3. Black Widow, which was set for May 7, will now debut on Shang-Chi's previous release date. Additionally, Black Widow will debut on Disney+'s Premier Access platform for an additional fee. Shang-Chi is still expected to have a traditional theatrical release.

With Marvel set to debut four films this year, there's little wiggle room when it comes to the theatrical release schedule. When one domino falls, the rest will likely have to follow suit. It's unclear if the recent delays will affect the release of Eternals or Spider-Man: No Way Home, set for November 5 and December 17, respectively. With Black Widow going to Disney+, it seems the studio has bit the bullet and is at least intent on getting the Scarlett Johansson film on screens as soon as possible to avoid any further disruptions.

The Disney+ release of Black Widow will also allow Marvel to see just how a tentpole of that size will perform on the Premier Access platform. While Mulan and Raya and the Last Dragon have both premiered on the streamer, the MCU's audience is much larger than those films, and it will be interesting to see how this move plays out. Shang-Chi's September release also seems like a safe bet as vaccines continue to roll out across the country. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will be a bit different in that it heralds in the debut of a new hero, unlike Black Widow. Marvel is likely hoping to capitalize that, which is undoubtedly one reason behind the delay as they begin to introduce a new generation of superheroes to audiences.

Tony Leung Debuts As LEGO Minifig In 76177 Shang-Chi Battle At The Ancient Village Set
Zheng Yi March 29, 2021
https://geekculture.co/tony-leung-debuts-as-lego-minifig-in-76177-shang-chi-battle-at-the-ancient-village-set/

While Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will have its movie release pushed back largely due to the pandemic, the other wheels of marketing and promotion keep on turning. Found by a redditor in Israel, the LEGO 76177 Shang-Chi Battle At The Ancient Village set gives us a peek at possible scenes from the movie.

The set includes a dragon with five mini-figurines of the movie – Shang-Chi (Simu Liu), Xialing (Meng’er Zhang), Wenwu (Tony Leung), Death Dealer and a strange moth-like creature Morris.

The strange creature, Morris is likely based on the mythological Chinese creature DiJiang, which has six legs and four wings without any facial features or eyes. It’ll be interesting to see how this mythic creature is tied in with the movie. It is also the first LEGO figurine of Tony Leung as Wenwu. As far as we know, Tony Leung’s character will eventually evolve into the Mandarin and it might be a bit of a stretch for the dragon in the set to eventually become Fin Fang Foom.

It seems that even more sets are making an appearance with the LEGO 76176 Escape From The Ten Rings set. Shang-Chi and Wen Wu will be featured in this set again together with Katy ( Awkwafina) and Razor Fist (Florian Munteanu). Our guess is considering how Wen Wu and Shang-Chi are seemingly working closely together, a betrayal might be in the works.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings was initially announced for an early 2021 release but has been delayed several times with the latest release slated for September 2021. The movie will most likely be released in theatres as well as Disney+ like the upcoming Black Widow.

Leaked Action Figure Photos Offer A Better Look At Marvel’s ‘Shang-Chi’
14 hours ago Dempsey Pillot
https://thedisinsider.com/2021/04/09/leaked-action-figure-photos-offer-a-better-look-into-marvels-shang-chi/

Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is slated to hit theaters in less than 6 months; however, aside from the announcement of its main cast made at San Diego Comic Con nearly two years ago, not much else has been revealed about the film. No official set photos have been released, nor have we received any trailer. For the most part the project – like pretty much everything else lined up for Marvel’s Phase 4 – has been shrouded in secrecy…until now.

Thanks to some photos posted to Twitter by user Ryans_Ramblings it looks like we may actually have a clearer look at the film and some of its characters.

The photos, pictured above (see link https://twitter.com/Ryans_Ramblings/status/1380623921427279873), show some of the action figures being released under the ‘Marvel Legends’ brand. Not only do we finally get a good look at actor Simu Liu as the titular Shang-Chi, we also get to see what looks like his costume. The fact that it doesn’t look like any ‘suit’ we’ve seen so far in the MCU is exciting because it appears that this film will be just as faithful to the culture it aims to capture as Black Panther.

Additionally, we also get up-close looks at characters named Wenwu, Death Dealer, and Xialing.

What’s most interesting though are the character descriptions of Shang-Chi and, more specifically, Wenwu.

Shang Chi’s description is as follows:

“Trained since childhood by the mysterious Ten Rings Organization, Shang-Chi must confront the past he thought he left behind when he is drawn back into his father’s web.”

Wenwu’s, on the other hand reads:

“Shang-Chi’s father Wenwu is the feared leader of the Ten Rings Organization, which has lurked in the shadows of the MCU since the very beginning.“

While it was known that Wenwu would be The Mandarin, in all of the official material released thus far, the relationship between Shang-Chi and Wenwu had not been revealed. So the fact that our hero will actually be the son of The Mandarin is sure to cause some major complications.

Unfortunately, there isn’t any information offered about Death Dealer or Xialing, and despite these leaks westill don’t have a great sense of what the film will be about. Nevertheless, it’s cool to finally see some of the veil pealed back, and hopefully these leaks are a tiny precursor to the release of some major official marketing materials in the coming weeks.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is scheduled to be released September 3, 2021 in theaters.

Shang-Chi Funko Pop! Leak Spoils Major Character's Appearance In Movie

A leaked image of a Funko Pop! toy has spoiled a major character reveal in Marvel's upcoming Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings movie.
By Nicholas Graff Published 18 hours ago
https://screenrant.com/shang-chi-movie-funko-pop-leak-spoiler-character-details/

A leaked image of a Funko Pop! toy has spoiled a major character reveal in Marvel's upcoming Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings movie. With the film being one of many Marvel projects releasing in 2021, news on the movie has been relatively scarce as the studio has focused most of their marketing on other series or movies about to launch in the coming weeks. Toy sales and promotions are usually planned out months ahead of everything else though, so it is no surprise to see spoilers for the movie coming by way of box art from merchandise.

The 25th film in the MCU, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, will not be in theaters until September of 2021. It will be Marvel's first film with an Asian-American lead, actor Simu Liu, alongside rising star, Awkwafina, in a supporting role as the character, Katy. The film has been in development since 2001, though Marvel has released information letting fans know that it will feature the true Mandarin villain and the Ten Rings organization that has been hinted at through many other MCU films.

According to a report on CBR, a Twitter user named SCBRMidia posted images of Funko Pop! toys for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings that included a dragon figure. Alongside the other leaked figures, including Shang-Chi, Katy, Wenwu, Jiang Li, Death Dealer and Razor Fist, the dragon stands out as he is called "The Great Protector," a name not associated with any known Marvel comics character. Yet, there have been rumors of Marvel's Fin Fang Foom character appearing in the movie since 2020, and the Funko Pop! toy might just be the confirmation fans have been waiting for. While it may not be his name, Fin Fang Foom is indeed a dragon and in the comics has many ties to one of the other major characters in the film, Wenwu, a.k.a, the Mandarin.

If it is not Fin Fang Foom, Marvel does have another dragon currently in the MCU known as Shou-Lao, a figure hinted at in the Iron Fist Netflix series. With Shou-Lao's reddish scales, he is a better match for the toy's red and white skin coloring, especially when compared to Fin Fang Foom, who is normally seen with green skin in the comics. Shou-Lao is also a better fit for the "Great Protector" moniker with his ties to the origins of the heroic Iron Fist character.

It would be an odd choice to go with Shou-Lao for the Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings movie though, as the dragon is not really associated with Shang-Chi in the comics. Fan excitement for Fin Fang Foom has been evident for some time now, and it seems hard to believe that Marvel would pass up the opportunity to use the character. As for the visual discrepancies, the comics already established that Fin Fang Foom could shapeshift, so it does not seem that much of a stretch to imagine him changing his colors to hide his true appearance, or to even pretend to be some benign "Great Protector" to fool other characters in the film.

I think it's likely we'll see Tony's character in future Marvel movies and probably he will cross over with other MCU villains. But I'm wondering now if he might appear even sooner in a Disney+ show or at the end credits of 'Black Widow'. Complete speculation on my part but they usually tease future movies in some way as a post credits scene.
