Imagine my pleasure in discovering that my favorite Korean actor, Kam Woo-Seong, (who I'd LOVE to see working with Tony, someday), filmed an episode of a Korean travel show (that, I guess, translates into something like, "Travel All the World") in which he goes to Argentina, and travels to Iguazu Falls, of all places! Wish the whole episode would be online (I think the 2nd part of it will air later), as it is VERY VERY difficult to keep up with Kam Woo-Seong's career, here in the States. There is no website that keeps current news on him. With the ability he has as an actor, it's criminal that so few directors will give him a chance to prove himself. Anyway, here's a video preview of the episode, with some beautiful shots of the Falls, and more Happy Together-like-flavor. Hope some Korean Tony fans saw this.

Aha! I was able to watch the first three minutes on the website:

Then I was cut off, and I guess, asked to create a membership to the site. (Whatever that entails. Man I hate being uni-lingual!) _________________ "Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read." - Groucho Marx |

I totally agree with you everything you said. I kept searching about him but couldn't find anything about him.Why ppl are not ready to give him fair chance to show his talent. They are likely to promote pretty faces boys and girls these days.I haven't seen him doing any movies for about 3 years already which is pretty sad for me. |

I *think* he may be playing Park Chung Hee in a biopic about his wife who was killed in an earlier assassination attempt on him. He was assassinated in 1979.
None of the translation tools on the Internet are good enough to make any definite sense out of Korean (or any other Eastern language for that matter), to be certain of the few pieces of recent news that I can find on Mr. Kam. He did have a Twitter account, which he hasn't updated since around June of 2011. (I think he made some frustrated remarks about the director or crew during King Geunchogo, and the media blew it up into something big). I guess he decided Twitter wasn't much help to him.
Anyway, would be nice just to know what agency he belongs to, so I could write him a letter of encouragement. There's no excuse why an actor who cares that much about his craft, and is so good at his craft, can't find good roles within an industry that has previously awarded his work. (But of course, it happens all the time.)
If you like, find me on Facebook, I keep a section of pictures of Kam Woo-Seong, which I caption with whatever info I have found on him. Just type in "Jamaica". You should get a pic of a lady with a parrot on her shoulder. _________________ "Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read." - Groucho Marx |

Thanks for the info. Well yeah i did same thing trying to translate Korean webpages but couldn't understand much, as the translation goes by word by word which in a whole doesn't make any sense.
I started to like him after watching R point;his acting was topnotch and no nonsense overacting which i see in many Korean movies.Later i started searching his more movies like "Marriage is a crazy thing" , "spider forest" , "The king and the clown". He did very fine acting and was very honest to the character demand.
I have been fan of him for like 7 years and I wanted to know more about him but there is very little info about him .You know how frustrating it is, to have a very few information about yr fav actor and esp. when all u see is about pretty faces singers and actors all over youtube and websites but nothing about your fav actor. Still ...I keep typing his name in youtube and google once a week hoping i cud find sth abt him but no luck''. I really thought he might have quit or having a hiatus as there is no information about him.
Well I'm glad to know that I'm not alone and am very happy to find you and yr post.By the way, you seem to be one of the biggest fan of Tony Leung. I loved his movie "In the mood of love" and of course both Tony and Maggie did a terrific job(I had the DVD but don't know where is it now),but I didn't enjoy his latest movie "Grandmaster".I'd rather prefer him play serious character than as a martial artist. Hope to keep in touch with you for more info but i can't seem to find you in facebook.'' |

Try and type in Jamaica Fisher Knauer at Facebook, or look for Tony Leung Chiu Wai's Facebook page, as I post lots of pictures there. You'll see my name, and can link up with me there. _________________ "Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read." - Groucho Marx |

Found out a little more about Kam Woo-Seong's Argentina trip. He dances the tango at Bar Sur! _________________ "Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read." - Groucho Marx |
