Thanks Desiree
(you have beautiful name. Did you know that there is a great film with Marlon Brando with this title?)
Yes I am. But unfortunately I am not all well put together like Tony. Just a commoner.
A kiss and wish you all the happiness in the World. You are in a looong and extreeemely exciting phase of life. There's no denying the beauty and absolute charm of a thirty-forty years woman. Enjoy!
A Kiss

Dear friends,
thank to you all.
Yuka, you always surprise me with your knowledge of languages, I really appreciate your "buon compleanno" (happy birthday, ndt).
Eri, you are always the down to earth friend: yes, laughing and smiling, a couple of jokes and here we go. We wouldn't go far otherwise.
Friends and family, the whole net of people that surround us are the source of great energy.
A hug to you all, lets see if we can put together something great for our beloved Tony.
Kiss

by the way Kat, no I didn't know Marlon Brando had a movie called Desiree....I've heard of 'A Street Car named Desire', is that the one you mean? thank you for the lovely compliment! my name is french- meaning to want or desire as I'm sure you know- named after a model from the Phillippines- as that's where my parents are from- though I was born in Canada In Filipino: Maligayang Kaarawan or Maligaying Bati to you--happy birthday again _________________ Desiree |

No,
this is the film - based on a true story - I was talking about:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ksINvrfumKY
Brando is Napoleon, Jean Simmons is Desiree, that means "Desidered" in english and "Desiderata" in italian. I find beautiful both the meaning and the sound of it.

HI kat,
Just a few words I know in Italian..
I didn’t study Italian at school, but I always find Italian a very beautiful language.
According to IMDB , Desiree, was released in Japan in 1955, I wasn’t even born (I think most of us,too)
and may be difficult to find DVD . I also found Director Henry Koster has produced so many movies,
but I haven’t watched any of his works.... |

Hi Yuko,
what surprises me the most is that you write it very correctly. A lot of foreigners listen to italian, but not many write it correctly, so you are amazing!
About "Desiree", that I pronounce 'a la francais, I watched the film thirty years ago or so, but it was such a good film that I still remember it.
I want films that I can remember in the years to come, this is why I find a lot of films that come from your side of the world so personal, so appealing.
I don't think you will find "Desiree" in dvd. Only hope, a rerun from the archives of your local tv.
The same goes for Desiree, if she is interested.
Bye, a kiss
Mimma
P.S.: did you know that the coach of the national italian soccer team declared that, of the whole world tournament so far, the teams that he liked the most were Japan and South Corea? _________________ “I will write peace on your wings and you will fly all over the world”

Hello Kat,
Mr. Marcello Lippi said so?? What an honor !
Players should hear his comment when their motivation is down…
Asians are smaller and their play style looks compact .My impression for South Korean
players is they are more aggressive for making goals than Japanese players.
Some of my friends who aren’t interested in footballs are busy watching
Italian Team during WC season. Why? (as you guessed) They say Italian
Team looks like models coming out of Milano Collections.
I thought Spain would do better , but can’t expect what’ll happen next in this kind of
tournament. |

Hi Yuko,
sorry I'm late answering but I'm not in Rome and here I don't have a fast internet coonection.
My compliments for yesterday Japan performance.
I am happy that you liked mr Lippi's comment, but it's true, they displaied the best soccer so far. Soccer is both a team work and expression of highly gifted individual who have "the feel" of the game.
Mr Lippi appreciates the good solid teamwork, because it's more constant and reliable, and you showed it well. Italians are individualists where you are great teamers.
Ialians are a childish people, that's why soccer game is a serious business here. Also a not interested person like me knows about the strategies.
About performances of all the quoted european teams, don't listen to tv-radio commenters. It's normal thet the teams are not at their best of fitness. They will be at the third or fourth game, to give the best during the hot phase of the tournament, so no surprise there.
Much the same, the lesser teams are perfectly fit, and are giving all that they heva now, at the beginning. Some of the players can be spotted and bought in the higher leagues.
So, here ends my knowledge of soccer, and I wis you to keep enjoying the tournamet. So far, so good.
A wam embrace
