I wanted to know the general consensus on this board. Here are some pictures to judge.

The man himself

Jay Chou - dubbed by some as the "Heavenly Prince of Mandopop" Has already said he's too busy to accept the part.

Aaron Kwok - one of the "Cantopop Heavenly Kings" A hot name in the running but in the wrong age bracket to play Lee.

Danny Chan Kwok Kwon - already famed for his uncanny resemblence to Lee, but will already be playing him in a television series. Name any other choice you feel would be perfect here. I personally would liked to have seen Chou play the role, but sadly that isn't even a possibilty now! Sad

I think it must be very difficult to choose the right person for Bruce Lee's role, so I can't name the actor. (It might be better if some one completely new who hasn't got any experience in films.)

I am afraid, I would say No to both Jay Chou and Aaron Kwok, because they don't have any 1960's feeling and atmosphere which I think is very important for this WKW film.

I've read on today's news that Chan Chen has been training for about 1 month for this film, although he still doesn't know which role he is going to take.

Hi.
I agree with Eri, no one of these is good.

If you remember, Bruce Lee had all corded muscles and you associated him with "fast".

These two are easygoing handsome young men, but they have baby fat on their faces and they seem quite satisfied of themselves.

Bruce Lee resembled a whippet or a coiled spring.
He came from nothing to being a legend and, most of all, I think he represented well the inner strength of his people.

He always had an air oh "hunger" about himself, of "want to do it and want to do it big". And big he did.

These two seems happy preppy boys, fat and nice.

Have you read the Harper's Bazaar interview? Have you witnessed Tony's transformation?
He now seems "dangerous"...

Kiss

Bruce Lee is a bit before my time and I'm only judging based on pictures. I don't think Chang Chen would be right for the part either. I think they may need an unknown face from Hong Kong for the role rather than an established star.

BTW I forgot to add that I agree with Kat when she says that the other two are pretty boys compared with the man himself. I've been checking the news for any updates but I haven't seen any as of yet. Sad

Uh oh,
This one seems dangerous...

All the three above are very handsome men, but maybe this Koo guy can be right...

I will research for other pics to form a better idea.

Thank you.

I read the other day on Asian Media Wiki that The Grand Master is on Jay Chou's filmography http://asianmediawiki.com/Jay_Chou Could this page have any validity? I doubt it however though as neither Chou or anyone close to him has confirmed his involvement in the project.
