My name is Sandy, the webmastress of the site. I maintained this site
on the free homepage servers for almost 4 years. But with the growing
content, the site has become a pain to maintain and to update. At one time
I had 7 different free accounts, and 100 MB of web spaces scattered all over the
place. As I was making my semi-annual site revamping this April, I found
out I am again running out of web spaces. It's either getting more free
accounts, or getting a paid service. I decided I had enough headaches and
I will pay my way out of it. So I got a domain name and move the entire
site to a paid service. I register the domain name for two years. So
it's safe to say if you bookmark this URL - http://www.tonyleung.org
It should be around for at least two years. Now I am paying everything out
of my own pocket, and I am not into any profit making, or advertising. So
hopefully I won't get anybody snooping around and trying to sue me. If you
have a problem with the content of the site, send me an e-mail,
I will take off whatever controversial contents off the site. My goal is
to provide an internet presence for Tony, and for Tony's fans around the globe
to meet each other and share ideas on.
Now that I have more web spaces with this paid service, I plan to add more
content to the site. As usual, your help is needed. If you have
anything to contribute, or suggestions, please don't hesitate to shoot me an e-mail.
Thanks!
The site will evolve with time. I might do another face lift in the
future if I find time. I am not happy with the look, but with my limited
time, I apt to use simple design and no graphics. The thing that kills me
is the compatibility of IE and Netscape. The site will look good on both
IE 4, 5, and Netscape 6, but the menu looks plain on Netscape 4 and below.
Netscape 4 did not implement the complete CSS. It's very frustrating to
work with so many variables and hope the page looks the same on all
browsers. My guess (w/ some degree of proof) is that 90-95% of the
visitors of this site are IE4, or IE5 users. So I think I am safe for
now. I had thought about incorporate some Flash 5 into the site, but again
this raises another compatibility issue. How many people actually had
Flash 5 installed? The report said 80%, but it's probably less than
that. Well, we will see how thing goes. Now that I have invested my
hard earned cash into the site, I hope to make it better so that my money is not
being threw away. Hey it's just practical thinking here. If I spent
money on something, it better turns out good or else I am just throwing away the
money. Okay, enough rambling here. I won't bore you guys
anymore, go explore the site now.
To Evelyn, only a few weeks ago she asked me when I plan to close down the site. Guess what girl,
I am actually expanding it. This definitely defines the odds. Something must have come over me after the chat. :)
My thanks goes out to Ellen, Jenny, Seo-young, Nancy, Frida, Ngoc Hang, Hiroki,
