Sooo, today I went to Wong Tai Sin temple.

And Chi Lin Nunnery

Look at that beauty Shocked seen in one of those lotus ponds within the monastery.
Breathtaking - a dragonfly

Lotus pond

Afterwards I went again to Devil`s Peak. I`m 100% positive that this is the place, where some scenes from BITH have been shot. No one was around, so I went down ...

I didn`t went inside, you never know what is inside crawling around.

Again I sat there for quite some time and was awarded a beautiful sun set.

... hope you enjoy ...

Glad you like my photos! Here is a link about dragonflies in HK.

None as beautiful as mine of course. Wink
Regarding the memorycard, I've got some time now between my run and lunch meeting and will try to find a software to recover my pics. Will let you know if it works.

Today I went with Agnes for Dim Sum.

In the afternoon I went to the MTR station Tin Hau to visit the Tin Hau temple there but unfortunately I was too late and the temple was already closed.

I can`t remember ever been inside, maybe I`ll come back.

Thanks for the screen shots yitian! I am 100% sure this is the place. thumbright

And btw it really seems I could rescue the photos on my mobile. Pray Seems the freeware: testdisc did the job. But for sure I will check at home. But isn`t that scary? One is taking photos and then - gone? Waaahh. shaking

As for today, a dream came true and thanks to Tina I finally could visit Tai Long Wan in Sai Kung. We have been on a bit more then a 6 hours hike along parts of McLehose stages 1 and 2. It was wonderful to hike in such a lovely countryside. As for what is what Confused maybe you Tina can help, I forgot some of the names already.

Beautiful rock formation near the east dam.

Sai wan?

The Tai Long Wan area, which includes 4 beaches.

High Island Reservoir

A cow was blocking our way, she moved from the bridge all right but stopped right on the path we wanted to walk. So I patted her on her butt a bit and finally she moved. Nice and calm creature.

And finally a bit of wildlife along the way.
Abandoned buildings - nature is taking over.

The translation from the cantonese name is four legged snake. I have no idea about the english one.

And this little guy wasn`t scared at all.

... enjoy ...

I enjoyed the hike with you together a lot, Heike!
Actually you've got most of the names correct. I only have a few supplements:
Pic No 2: This is Long Ke Wan
Pic No 5: This is Sai Wan, the first beach of Tai Long Wan
Pic no 6: These are the other three beaches of Tai Long Wan: Ham Tin Wan, Tai Wan and Tung Wan

Haha yitian, I guess you would love to see that. Anxious Thank you very much!
Now serious, I grew up on the country side, so I know how to handle these animals. IF they are not agitated, let them see you, just pat them, important - talk to them with a calm voice and if necessary push them gently and they will move. Actually I spoke in german to her that day. Cool

Glad you guys like the pics!
