Glad you like the pics!
No wildlife yesterday yitian but today ... Anxious

In the morning I went again to High West because the visibility today was as amazing as yesterday.

No leaves on that tree only a few beautiful flowers which look sooo nice against the blue sky

And an amazing creature about the size of my hand.
Anyone know the name?

I have a new favorite spot, up at High West my back pack likes it there too.

Clear visibility from High West

In the afternoon I joined a hiking meetup. We went from Wong Ngai Chung reservoir along Tsz Lo Lan Shan Path to Stanley. Nice walk mostly in the shades.
Repulse Bay from above

Along in the catchwater (about 1,5m below us) ... I spottet a snake. This time I recognized it, that`s a Bamboo Pit Viper, nocturnal actually. And the bite is "nasty but seldom fatal". If treated in time. Characteristic is the triangular head and a reddish end of the tail.

Zoom in if you dare.

She is a beauty isn`t she?

Tomorrow morning I will go for a run. Since I`m preparing for a 10k run and this holiday interrupts my training schedule - a lot, I guess I should get a bit busy. In the afternoon I will meet a dear friend. Not sure if I post any pics tomorrow.

Thanks yitian and Helga, I had a wonderful time.

I met Agnes today and she took me biking to Tai Po. It was very nice to ride along the waterfront.

Nice bridge

And some beautiful blossoms on a tree in a nearby park.

Up close

As for tomorrow it`s about the same schedule as today, I`ll go for a run in the morning and meet a friend afterwards. No idea if I can post pics.

Glad to hear you had a good time, biking around Very Happy .
I did some search and found the name of the insect you posted yesterday is "walkingstick", and it is vegetarian..... Laughing
Here are two pics from the web:

close-up head shot

Now I wonder what is the name of the tree with red flowers on top Think
Keep enjoying Hong Kong, and be careful with triangle headed creatures Laughing .

Helga, you easily could have kept up with our biking speed.

Wow yitian, thanks for the research! A walkingstick. At least a peaceful creature.

Helga, this would be a hard task, the very best pics are in my heart. In Love

And as for sunday, I have an appointment sunday afternoon/evening.

Today. In the afternoon I went to my beloved Lamma for a relaxing hike along the family trail.

Yung Shue Wan and in the background you can see hills of Lantau.

Power station on Lamma and left of/behind it you can see Cheung Chau, those two hills barely connected.

Beautiful hills of Lamma, the highest is Mount Stenhouse. One day I will be up there as well. Hopefully.

Another full zoom moment. Wink This is taken from above the old quarry on Lamma. This is Repulse Bay. On the right you can see two hills called The Twins who are part of hiking trail Wilson Trail Stage 1. If the weather permits I will walk that part which goes from Stanley to Parkview.

Sok Kwu Wan from the lookout pavillon above the old quarry.

And another beautiful colour combination, don`t know the name though - again. Rolling Eyes

... enjoy ...

Thanks again for the beautiful pics with nice introduction Very Happy salute
Enjoy Sunday afternoon/evening Razz
As for the nameless plant, I would guess the pretty red seeds are poisonous, judging by the color as well as the fact no one eats them Think . However, I could be wrong Embarassed .

I`m glad you like the photos yitian!
I agree with the red fruit, you might be right.

Today I went to Tai Tam Reservoir upon recommendation, of which I`m very grateful because it`s such a nice and calm place. And if time permits I like to come back on a weekday when it`s not so crowded.

That is the upper reservoir, as you can also see, today it was very cloudy/foggy.

One the way a sign said "Mount Parker 45 Min" and I thought, let`s give it a try. Razz But as mentioned before, it was cloudy and there was absolutely nothing to see except fog - that was a bit creepy.

On the way down I saw another moving thing on the road but this time it was really only a worm. It was about 25cm long. Isn`t it beautiful?

That is a map of the reservoir. I went all the way down to Tai Tam road.

Colourful woods

... and butterfly. And no yitian, I didn`t sing to calm it down. Wink

... so nice

It must be a very long trail from where you were, all the way down - passing both reservoirs - to Tai Tam road. The foggy mystic path, looked very nice to me Very Happy . Little creatures you saw added another layer to your excitement Cool .

Look forward to seeing your pictures from Sunday Wink love .
Enjoy Razz Razz .
