Japanese Original poem
http://www.mitsuo.co.jp/museum/info/message.html

Thanks TONY-san! This poet"Mitsuo Aida" is very famous at Japan.
This poem have very deep sense of meaning, But words is very simple.

"if we share"

If we take from one another, there is never enough
If we share with each other, there will be more than enough

If we take from one another, there is a conflict
If we share with each other, there will be a calmness

If we take from one another, there is hatred
If we share with each other, there will be joy

If we take from one another, there is discontent
If we share with each other, there will be gratitude

If we take from one another, there is war
If we share with each other, there will be peace

If we take from one another, it's hell
If we share with each other, it'll be heaven"...

Japan Earthquake/Tsunami Relief Songs and Lyrics by “ 311 Love beyond Borders ” in Hong Kong.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLqZiO6XGJM

Below you will find the lyrics in Japanese, English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. The song is rearranged from a Japanese poem by the late Miyazawa Kenji ( 1896 - 1933 )

not losing to the rain
not losing to the wind
not losing to the rain
not losing to the wind
not losing to the snow nor to summer's heat
not losing to the rain
not losing to the wind
not losing to the rain
not losing to the wind
not losing to the snow nor to summer's heat
without being praised
without being blamed
when there's drought, shedding tears of sympathy
when the summer's cold, wandering upset
called a blockhead by everyone
unfettered by desire
never losing temper
with a strong body
cultivating a quiet joy
in everything count yourself last and put others before you
without being praised
without being blamed
when there's drought, shedding tears of sympathy
when the summer's cold, wandering upset
called a blockhead by everyone
not losing to the rain
not losing to the wind
not losing to the rain
not losing to the snow nor to summer's heat
such a person I want to become

Thank you Cisca -

The poem "Strong in the rain" which Ken Watanabe recites on "kizuna 311" is the original from Miyazawa Kenji - probably ? (similar message)
Our dear Japanese friends will know

Dear Helga,

That's right. It is Miyazawa Kenji's poem.

If the problems we faced were only earthquake and Tsunami, we would have been able to rebuild reasonably quickly, as we all know that people in Tohoku area are very hard working and patient just like this poem.
However, we are facing still the problem of the unsolved defected reactors which contaminate air and water, as well as the land and the sea at the moment.
It is ironical that we have to be careful with rain and the wind to avoid radiation. Sad
Now the problem is not restricted in Japan, we need specialists' advices and help from all over the world.
More than anything, I wish good luck for everyone in Fukushima ! Pray

Thank you so much Eri !

They are busy working on the reactor problems certainly - with the help of other experienced countries like France, USA......Do not worry too much, but I guess Japan will not have another choice but to learn to live with some unpleasant consequences in future unfortunately.
From the beginning of this catastrophy - till now - this dangerous nuclear-radiation-problem was the main theme in our medias - apart from deep concern with earthquake- and tsunami victims of course !
(It even strong influenced/changed the political situation - and an important election in Germany cause of Atomic Power sceptics and opponents.
BTW: I guess we are on the wrong place/topic here on "Tony News" sorry - and please excuse my frankly spoken words ; )

Wish especially people near Fukoshima - and all of you a soon and positive progress and solution !
