Dear Tony
So you are likely to be working on your birthday ? Poor Birthday Boy.
Even if you cannot visit here on your birthday, we would like to do something to celebrate your birthday here, so please come here again if you have some spare time after your birthday.
To Helga,
Let's do something. I am so used to being childish anyway. |

Hello Tony,
Sorry to hear that you’ll be spending your B.D. on the set.
(Reminded me of spending my solitary birthday in Buenos Aires on a business trip.
Feeling blue and repeating my raison d’etre again and again in my head at the other end of the world.
It would be different if I was on vacation. I know that’s life, but I was too young and naive, haha)
But at the same time, I’m happy to see shooting is progressing. (I hope!)
Hi Eri and Helga,
Count me in, too. |

Aww too bad you have to be on set for your birthday! but maybe you will still enjoy it with the cast and crew and not stay by yourself in your room? Don't have a lonely birthday Tony! We're all thinking of you, try to eat more and gain some more weight- you're looking a bit slim...I guess you have to be skinny for the Grand Master? Hugs and kisses to you _________________ Desiree |

Hi darling Tony,
today is my BDay.
Lets start with the Rome public transport: it was on strike today. I had to accompany hub in the center of Rome. The traffic jam was maddening.
It was very hot. It was an oven in the car (now, who was to be roasted with garlic and potato?) notwithstanding the air conditioner. Ok, I survived till...
my car broke dow. A red light started blinking and I felt the engine loosing beats. I found a truck driver and stopped to ask him what to do. He magically produced a mechanic and both assured me I can arrive home. That gave me the time to...
go and buy a suit to my hub (I know it seems strange, but I feel the same pleasure making gifts than receiving them, maybe more). Hub is very anxious about money, so I took the chance because today he will not dare shouting to me. In case he runs after me holding a big knife, I bought the support of his sister and my older sis. They both will shout at him and defend my life. Will keep you informed on how it goes.
At the opening of car repairs I drove there then did the usual grocery shopping. At home the usual cleaning and cooking (ragù bolognese, the recipe is in the forum somewhere).
Given the heat, this evening meal will comprehend parma ham and mellon as entree and meat ravioli with ragù bolognese. I did my own cake.
Now I am slaving on my translations - and answering the gazillion phone calls of well wishers - in wait to go again in the center to bring hub home.
Dinner, probable quarrel, then we will start for the country, because tomorrow I'll have to pay taxes.
Let me know if your BDay is worse than mine (I don't think so).
A Big Kiss & Hug, I very much hope I can cook something for you one day.
From Italy with Love

... thanks to you all...
... we never got as far as the cake... that sits still in the fridge, all alone... I had my credit card taken away... just to have it back yesterday, with a very small, VERY small pale weak thanks...
Life is not our cup of tea sometimes, isnt'it?
Kiss
