Hello Helga,

I was also wondering about Tony's trousers. Are they with some sort of 60's influence ? Wink I don't describe them as "funny dressed", but Tony looked to be dressed differently. Surprised

I was also very happy to see Ang Lee looked like very glad to see Tony again. He almost clings to Tony. Laughing

Hello Eri

I do not think "funny" is negative - not at all !
(I did not mean "curious" or "strange".....NO, please !!!) -
You are right with "differently" - ( I cannot remember such outfit in the 60ies or 70ies )
- But it is the spirit of that time: Self-realization, do what you like to do and dress how you like to......(colors,long hair....) - Rebellion ......"Make Peace Not War"....against the US politics and soldiers in Vietnam .......
Most important: NO UNIFORMITY - neither inside nor outside !! (was a bit naive - now we know - but never regret !!)

Tony is courageous and self-confident enough to wear comfortable clothes he likes (whether "in" or not ) - and I guess it is not so important for him too - (like for most other "stars" or high(?) society and celebrities )....wearing so proud their "glamour-uniforms" .

Peace-
Helga

Hello Helga,

I know funny is not bad at all.
The patterns on Tony's trousers reminded me the clothes in 60's but not "flower children" or "Hippies", some boy standing with a girl wearing Mary Quant's mini dress. ha ha ha Laughing
(I've watched TV program about the history of fashion recently.)

It is nice to hear Paul likes Tony's style anyway. Wink

By the way, you can see the videos outside HK here.

Dear Eri

Thank you very much for the two video links ! - Tony is so hmmmm -boyish charming - irresistible !

Oh yes, the slogans I mentioned were more "San Francisco-style" and "Flower power" ....
At that times we young people in "petty bourgeois" Austria were like sponges - absorbing everything new - mixed up everything we liked (and which provoked) and created our own style.
I guess you meant the more stylish, "sophisticated " Carnaby Road -London-style ? (If I remember correct, the suits were more slim and slender cutted - anyway - not so important !)

Hope you and your family have a pleasant weekend !
(T. comes home for weekend - we have to console and spoil her - ( biggest wish for dish: FISH !!! - wonder why, hahaha - she calls it "fish-withdrawal")
Greetings
Helga

Hello Helga,

Of course, I didn't know 60's fashion at the time, but I really liked the revival of 60's in 80's. Mods or Punkish fashion etc. Also some "Carnaby street" fashion. Wink
Yes, slim and slender cut was important. Laughing
These are getting popular again in Japan. (I guess the fashion is always repeated in 10 to 20 years cycle, and only very occasionally something completely new invented.)

So T has "fish-withdrawal symptoms" ? Does she miss some Japanese food ?
Hope you all have a nice fish dish and very happy time together. Very Happy
