偉仔手腕骨傷癒
2009-08-11 (香港明報)
http://ol.mingpao.com/cfm/star5.cfm?File=20090811/saa01/mca1h.txt
_________________ From Hongkong with Love

Awww....so sweet!
Did you girls have fun high tea-ing with Tony? The writer of the article said that Tony's female companions were probably friends he's known for many years.
I hope everyone made it home alright. Kat mentioned about the earthquake in Tokyo. |

Hi Jenny and Cisca,
I didn't notice the Paparazzi (I guess they are everywhere Poor Tony has to face them everyday) but as in the article, Tony kindly invited us visitors from Japan for high tea at the Mandarin Hotel, and we had very enjoyable time with him.
As usual, Tony was very nice and friendly (sometimes funny as well).
Sorry, but I can't write any more details because we don't want to be like Paparazzi who are bothering Tony all the time.
We had really great time in HK with some kind help of HK fans.
I came back home late last night without any problem caused by the Typhoon. |

Glad you had a great time Eri!
Cisca, here's the article translated:
'Ip Man 2', starring Donnie Yen officially started shooting yesterday. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for 'The Grand Master', which was originally set to film seven years ago. During a practice session with five Wing Chun masters a few weeks ago, Tony broke his arm. Currently he is still waiting for his arm to heal. Although Donnie Yen's film has once again taken a head start, Tony is not worried. For a movie he's already waited seven years for, another few weeks won't make a difference. Right now he's waiting for his doctor's approval before he starts training again. Once he's given the all clear, he will resume work.
Earlier on, reporters found Tony leisurely enjoying high tea at the Mandarin Hotel with his female Japanese friends. Tony was speaking in English throughout. His companions must have been good friends of his, as he was meeting them by himself. His wife Carina is busy filming in Beijing. She also attended the premiere of Zhang Ziyi's new film, 'Sophie's Revenge'. With Carina occupied, Tony seems to be let off the hook. Tony and his friends stayed around two hours before leaving. When he left, reporters spotted Tony carrying a Hermes gift bag. Maybe it was a gift from his friends? Or is it something he bought for himself?
Afterwards, Tony went through the tunnel at the Star Ferry Pier to retrieve his car in the parking lot. Reporters noticed Tony was moving briskly. His arm no longer sported any bandages, so it seems his recovery is going well. Tony was also driving by himself and looked rather dashing. Although he appears to have lost weight, he still looked very fit, perhaps due to his prior training. After noticing reporters, Tony continued smiling as they took pictures. |

Dear Cisca ,Jenny and Safran,
I had a great time in HK. I spent most of time eating.
I’m afraid that I gained about 2 kilos eating delicious foods in just a few days.(ha-ha-ha)
About the earthquake, it was quite a big shake in Tokyo, too.
Luckily, no one close to me got hurt, but there were several casualties in some parts of Japan.
Cisca and Jenny, if you have a plan to visit Japan in the future,
please let us know, I’ll show you around .( Jenny, I guess you knows way around here
very well, though. …And thank you always for the translation.)
Tony’s fans in HK are always nice to us so I hope we can at least try to do the same when Tony’s fans are visiting Japan.
Safran , you and your family are always welcome!!!! (May be your daughter is
enjoying many fireworks festival being held in Tokyo this month. )
Best wishes,
Yuka |

Dear Cisca,
I think this is the most important information for all of us.
Tony said that "the fracture of his arm has cured now, but it will still take a few more weeks for the teared muscle around the bone to be completely recovered. At the moment he can move his arm but it is still very painful when he use his arm muscle. That's why he has to wait for a few weeks before starting Kung Fu training again."
Anyway, I think Tony's arm is much better now. |

You're welcome! I'm glad you all had a great time and that Tony's recovery is going well.
Silly question: Tony is wearing t-shirts and jeans from the photos. Is there a dress code for the Mandarin Hotel? I will also like to go high tea-ing next time I'm back. Heehee.
Eri & Yuka, will be seeing you in November! Can't wait! |
