I'm a new fan of Tony (already deeply smitten ) so I'm but a newbie here. But lurking around the forums, it seems a lot of you can't speak Cantonese!
How did you become fans of Tony who speaks Canto in almost all his movies? It feels so weird lol, for all mediums presenting Tony to be simply just Chinese, and then some "Westerners" ask for translations to things?!? How did you become infatutated with "this man of a foreign tongue?" |

Hi Kerilyn,
I've always been a fan of foreign films... non-American film makers to me always had a different "spin" on life. But, Asian films are my favorites... and of course, Tony has been in so many... how can I ignore him? However, no matter what other language his fans speak, what other race they are, what age they are, where else they are all from... it doesn't matter. He's a beautiful, talented man with a good heart and that's what attracts us all... like moths to a flame.

That's right my dirty little secret I don't understand Cantonese. For the Tvb series they're dubbed in vietnamese. and for movies i usually buy dvd's because they have english subtitles. But because of tony i am trying to learn cantonese. |
