Hi Helga,
Yes we were hit by a big typhoon.
All public transportation in Tokyo has stopped.
So I was stuck in my office.....
I was soooo hungry...haha ..
Don't worry, I just got home now.. Wink
I'm lucky at least I wasn't locked up in a train.

BTW: I just came back from "Never Let Me Go" in theatre (6 viewer/ 6 Crying or Very sad )

Best regards

Hi Yuka,

I thought the big typhoon was in the north. Glad to hear you're safe, though.

Cheers Smile

Hi Yuka,
We need to do something about your lack of emergency food supply. I'm going to have to stock up my suitcase and bring some over to you. Wink

Hi Helga,
Did you enjoy it? I quite liked the movie, but I have yet to finish the book.

Hi Jenny !
Nice to see you again :)Hope you are fine !
I already read the book - a recommendation from Yuka Smile - about 2-3 years ago and liked it very much (like other, different Ishiguro´s !)
The movie is probably not so exiting like the novel and there are some details missing in the movie.......but beautiful locations, well photographed and an excellent "Kathy".......I liked it !
How do you like the novel, if you´ve watched the movie before ?
Did you enjoy your TIFF-marathon ? Any hot recommendations ?
See you
Helga

Hi Joe, Safran and Jenny,

Typhoon went across theisland, so other cities were damaged as well.
Some of my colleagues and friends spent the night drinking
until public transportation recovered .
May be that's the smartest way. Wink

I prefer the original novel for " Never let me go"
You can guess what it's all about from the beginning of the film,
but i think the casting is good.

Jenny, don't pack your suitecase full with foods for me.
I don't want you to be surcharged. Very Happy Laughing Very Happy

Hi Helga,

Need a long time for recovery.
Knowing we can't run away from a natural disaster, we must go on living.

It's still 23:00 here but most of lights are off tonight in mid town Tokyo.

Hope to see beautiful cherry blossoms , soon.

Hi Helga,

My ex-boss 's wife was an ex-patissier,
so he used to give all female colleagues his wife's hand-made chocolates and cakes......
Of course ,they were sooooooo delicious than any other dolce found in shops.
We need to thank her for her hard work.

Today, I received about 20 times more than I had spent...... Shocked

Of course, I know it's not a matter of price but a matter of feelings. Wink

Happy White Day!

20 times more than you had spent?!? Yuka, I think this means you have to share your haul of chocolates with the rest of us. Of course, I'm only worried about your health and well-being...Razz

And I hope all the shaking has stopped. Please stay safe!
