Jamaica, sorry I can't view it because password is required. Anyway to make your album public as it was before? Thanks. |

Bless you, for catching, that, Yitian! I'm fixing it, now. _________________ "Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read." - Groucho Marx |

Thanks Jamaica, you're so quick.
Nice photos - they remind me the movies I saw a while ago. Tony was very good in it, and his desperate eyes haunted me for several days after watching. A bit too violent though.
Waiting for his collaboration with Lau Ching Wan again in The Great Magician. |

Well, I have never even seen THE picture before
Couldn't find the dvd (rare, oop, etc) and so the film slipped my mind.
Thanks Jamaica for the 'reminder'- I just searched/found/purchased the dvd |

I was warned, beforehand, TLN is very nihilistic, which it is, but fortunately it is so over-the-top, in its darkness, that it can be quite the black comedy. There are some priceless laughs in it. Tony and Sean, ruthless as they are, (particularly Tony), can still make you feel sorry for them. (If they didn't, then they wouldn't be doing their job). There's not one redeeming character in the film, so really, it's kind of fun to see these scumbags reap what they sow.
BTW, paid a ton of money (for me, anyway) for my copy of the film. It was the only dvd copy on Ebay at the time. Since then, a few copies have shown up at half the price I bought mine at. I feel like such a sucker!
(The pics in the album are from the extras on the dvd.) _________________ "Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read." - Groucho Marx |

Helga,
Are you needing a Region 0 PAL format? All I can find on Ebay is a used Region 0 NTSC format. _________________ "Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read." - Groucho Marx |

I just finished watching TLN. It is film noir at its darkest. I'm so glad TL did this film- his acting role here bolstered his reputation as a complete and consummate actor. Contrast this to his acting role in ITMFL and it's easy to see why he is one of the greatest actors in the world today.
Mr. Leung- you're the best!
Helga, good luck! |
