Hey All,
As I wrote on the Communicate with Tony board, I had the extreme honour of meeting and being allowed to ask a few questions of legendary Hong Kong action director, John Woo, the man behind Tony's latest film Red Cliff, while he was here in NYC doing promotion. Director Woo was down-to-earth, gracious and funny. It was hard to believe this unassuming, humble man is responsible for some of the most iconic, beautiful moments of cinematic violence ever seen on screen.

I hope you all enjoy it. |

Thank you so much for your kind words, mary,
I was so nervous, I was shaking and I couldn't sleep the night before, but Director Woo was such a kindly gentleman that he made me feel at ease.
I hope the questions were interesting. There was so much to talk about with the wonderful Red Cliff and of course his amazing career, but it's hard to try and think of things others haven't asked him a million times before.
I think he was amused by how gushy I was about Tony! |

Thanks SLZ for sharing.
What an exquisitely and elaborately embroidered film RC is!
Mr. Woo is a master of his craft. |
